Here are the tips to use the machine better. 1. Our machine needs to be placed right side up at least 24 hours before you use. The compressor is R600a and it should be placed right side up at least 24 hours before using since the machine is bumped in transit. 2. It's normal to get hot for the first time using and it will cool down later. Make sure to have at least 3 inches space from the vent (right side of freezer). 3. You can set the temp from -11.2℉ to 50℉. Level 1-2: refrigerator temp from 32℉ to 50℉, best temp for beverage and fruits; Level 3-7: freezer temp from -11.2℉ to 32℉, suitable for meat, seafood, ice cream. Level 7 is the coldest. Don't leave it on a setting more than 6 (it has a setting of 7 but that is to flash freeze stuff and not meant for a long term setting) I leave it a 5 personally. 4. There is cover on the machine which can be peeled off when using. This is to protect the machine from being scratched. Also the sliver sticker under the bottom is used to protect the compressor oil from leaking. 5. Don't throw everything in at once in the beginning, but a piece here and a few pieces there.
