This ice maker turned out to be PERFECT for our needs. It will make a batch of about 10 ice cubes about every 8-10 minutes depending on whether you set it for small or large. It should be noted that both sizes of the cubes are only about 1/3 the size of a "regular" freezer-made cube - the difference between small and large is the thickness of the cube walls, so we leave ours on "Large" all the time. The machine will make several batches before needing refilling.All in all, we have been VERY pleased with the machine, and recommend its purchase to others who do not need high-volume ice production. The only issue we have had with it is that sometimes ice cubes stacking up in the ice basket happen to land in the path of the IR beam that indicates when the machine is full; not a serious issue at all.
