The Influencing Machine is the third album from the uniquely creative mind of keyboardist composer and key member of the Mercury Music Prize nominated band Dinosaur, Elliot Galvin. It was inspired by The Influencing Machine by Mike Jay - a historical account of the life of James Tilly-Matthews, a double agent during the French civil war as well as the first fully documented case of a paranoid schizophrenia. This ambitious album reflects these timely, yet seemingly timeless themes, blending sounds both old and new to reflect the chaos, beauty, joy and sadness of the world we live in.
