So I bought this to try to learn how to use a lathe. I figured that this would be good to keep around for other projects once I was ready to move up to a larger one. However, when I got this, there were no instructions whatever. Not even what all the parts and pieces were or how to attach it to its base. Not even a link or a QR code that would take me to a website with an owner's manual.As I figured things out on my own (some of them), I noticed that the chuck had a certain eccentricity to it as it spun and I could never get the center pin on the other side to actually lock to the material. Also, the set screw on that fixture rounded off almost immediately when I went to undo it. This is not a well made device and I will probably be returning it. Additionally, the description suggested that this was an variable speed unit. It is not and for what I wanted to use it for, I need it to be.For the price, it isn't worth it.
