Way back on the 2010 Dependence Records sampler album, there was this amazing track called "Again and Again (and Again Mix)" attributed to a group called "Clicks". It was an amazing track, I listened to it over and over again, looking for more music from Clicks but never finding any information at all. Afterall, searching the internet for "Clicks" is impossible, hundreds of millions results. Then again in 2013 another Dependence Records sampler album again featured Clicks, this time with the track name "Clicks on Speed". I figured that this must be some sort of one-time-only supergroup or some other unusual setup that only meets and records infrequently. But then finally, on a newsletter two months ago, I see that "Clicks" is releasing a full album! After six years of waiting, can it really be true? My expectations were pretty high. Could this album ever live up to them?YES IT CAN. This album is pure aural bliss from end to end. With their loud industrial electro sound unending, lyrics that work so well with the music, and beautiful use of distortion throughout, I love this album. The year is young, but I'm pretty sure this is going to be my album of 2016. I get about 50 albums a year, but I only review maybe one or two of them. This album is so deserving. I have been listening to it nonstop since I got it. Literally 13% of my time on earth has been spent listening to this album since I got it. Just put your music player on infinite loop and swim through an eternity of sonic ecstasy. What other bands would I say are similar? Well if you like anything from Dependence (obviously) or Metropolis records, give this a start. If you liked last year's TR/ST album, try this one too. If you like any spunky noisy industrial, like GenCAB or Tarmvred or even something more melodic like Assemblage 23 or Pride and Fall, try this out. I don't know. Play the samples already.
