We had rented this machine (at the request of the bride) for a wedding we hosted, and it did such a good job that we ordered one for ourselves. [Actually, it was a gift to me from my wife, which is why it doesn't show as a certified purchase] So far there's nothing to complain about the machine. I gave it 4 stars for two small reasons: first, because the instruction sheet had virtually no instructions (other than appropriately strong warnings about using an electrical device that gets very hot). This was a problem for us only because the screws on the two arms were so tight (and the back two were somewhat in accessible) that it wasn't clear for a while that we could adjust the angle. Also, I think the instruction sheet was not for this particular model, or maybe (confusingly ) supposed to cover a number of different models, as it speaks of a thermostat which this model simply doesn't have. But, these are small issues. If you love raclette and don't live close to the Bagnes Valley in Switzerland, this is for you.
