Got this to hem some pants last minute.Definitely got the job done but it’s a bit flimsy. You get what you pay for, so I expected that.It did what I bought it to do, so I can’t complain. The issue was the needle got stuck on the second use and it broke. The thread drums are messy too. A case would be a nice option to keep it all contained, but I couldn’t find anything like that. It’s worth the money for light duty stitches but anything bigger needs to go pro.I bought this item for my grandmas birthday, but she has a hard time using it. I don’t recommend for a person who has eyesight problems.I got this literally today and I can't get it to turn on, used it once on thin fabric and now when you turn it on it doesn't do anything. Not sure if I locked it somehow? How do I fix it? For what I got done it did a good job, but now I can't use it.It is not good, not bad, It didn’t work well with me coz the needle is very low so I couldn’t put the clothes under the needle, and it doesn’t sew the clothes perfectly. But it’s light weight and has a good size for travelingInstructions way too complicated.Be careful with it while operating, the thead spoondle hole broke at mine while sewing. Anyway it's still a good thing to make small fixings at THIN fabrics, hard to do anything that's thicker than 1 mm. Sewing denim will be too complicated I thinkOh, I got this because it was small and I can just whip this out for quick stiches and throw in a drawer. So check. HOWEVER, you'll need the dexterity of a neuro surgeon to get your clothing in the jaw and to guide the cloth when it starts. The needle doesn't go high enough to get a good clearance so thinner cloth gets caught as the dial spins on tension (it doesn't hold well in the up position). Oh, as you're messing with that, the power switch can easily be switched on...so if you happen to be near the arm or needle, yikes. Ok...I can live with all of that and for a quick fix on an old pair of shorts, who cares so long as it is fixed, right? Well, here comes the pain, because of the "single bobbin" type of stitch you gotta tie off the thread or it will instantly unravel with a pull. It looks so easy on the video, but oh no. I had my technician magnifying goggles w/ light to even see the stitch as it was black shorts with black thread. Good luck getting to the stitch without an electron microscope and robotic arms to tie it off! Spend the money for the dual bobbin version that doesn't require this painful step. If you don't have perfect vision, the steady hands and tools of a electronic board repair person, and a third arm with very dexterous fingers this just isn't for you! I'm keeping it because I got it to work and it was cheap (and too lazy to return). Two stars because my shorts doesn't have a hole anymore and it is cheap.I thought this might be a waste of money at first but it was really inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. I use it for custom fitting my plastic tarps I use to protect my outside machinery and my travel trailer. Yes, it is hard to fit the tarp under the needle and it is slow but It actually works great to snug up plastic tarps so they don't flap, blow off, or rip on those windy days, or shift and expose the machinery on rainy days. It's lightweight and maneuvers easily. Doesn't work on canvas tarps tho. I know it won't last for long because I'm using it on some pretty harsh jobs for something built for clothing or curtains but it's too handy and it's cheap to replace so I probably will get another one if this one fails. It's saved me a lot of money so far by not having to replace lost or damaged tarps. Basically I'm using it the same way an industrial hand-held bag stitcher works but I'm saving myself hundreds of dollars not getting one of those and they are heavy and hard to control. I think I'll just stick with my little Singer hand-held stitcher. Update: I do have an issue with folded over fabric because it's too thick and the stitcher won't sew it but with hand pressure you can force it. Batteries don't last long and it could use a power adapter. If they only made this hand stitcher a little bigger and with a power cord it would have been much better. I'm still using the originally purchased stitcher after making 4 fitted plastic tarps for large tools I leave outside all year. That was a lot of work for a little hand stitcher. It was not easy but it was better than hand sewing the tarps. I think because of it's small size I will take one star away and just give it a 4 star review. I still like it.It simple doesn’t do its job, as shown in the pictures above: and I know machine sewing!Besides that, I saw a lot of youtube videos related to this machine and similar others.Above all, the machine dorsn’t exist in the Singer site, which means is not Singer, but uses the name and logo!!! and is not CE marked, which is illegal in Europe.Item is flimsy and I believe is not a Singer productThe instructions are in Turkish and of no use unless you speak fluent Turkish the accessories were taped to a scrap of cardboardI have attempt to contact both the seller and amazon and my requests to speak to someone has been ignoredJML have a much better productI’m very disappointed both with the product and poor communicationBought and returned after about a week’s try. Tried it on torn bedsheet and trousers where the seam had come off. Both results were unsatisfactory. Even with small repairs this product does not perform good enough. The seam comes apart quickly. Could not rely on the seam from this product to last on a trouser while being in the public. Hand stiching them would be much better. Also the battery compartment had some loose contact problem making it very difficult to get it started. One more point, the product works only with 4 AA “1.5 v” batteries. Incompatible with 1.2 V rechargeable batteries of Amazon. We used this once and it broke!!!! Wrote to the seller but they could not be bothered to reply. Also unable to get any help from Amazon. Awful experience!!!!!I was shocked to discover that this item was being delivered to me from China, definitely as it stated that it would arrive to me in 3days which it did, I received this in 2 days shocker! Great service. This product works really well, there are many YouTube videos out there, that shows you how to get the best results when operating this product, which is why I am satisfied with the functionality of this device, it gives nice tight stitches that doesn't unravel when operated rightly. This machine does a really good job, I'm very pleased thank you.
