A superb phone system which consists of all the basic & essential features for a unit at this (low end) price point.Voice transmission is loud & crystal clear both ways and the call block feature is absolutely brilliant (max call block limit is 30 nos)!Talking caller ID would've been a bonus, but no complaints since I don't really miss it - the display is quite large & well lit so I can see the name/number from across the room.I've also just discovered that the original Panasonic power adapters that come supplied with the phone work perfectly on 220 volts (50Hz) as well!!! I've been using them on 220v for quite some time now with absolutely no ill effects whatsoever (they barely even get warm).Based on this new (& exciting) discovery I'm positive they are auto sensing switching adapters but just not marked as such on the outside. Why, I'll never know!!!Build quality seems fab and the Black & metal Grey combo gels neatly.I also love the fact that this & most all Panasonic phones use standard AAA rechargeables. The ones that come with the phone are rated at 550mAh & provide some 11 plus hours of talk time. I've replaced them with 1000mAh cells & the standby goes up from 6 days to around 11 - so you should see a proportional increase in the talk time as well.A slight disappointment was the fact that though you can make or receive calls from the base unit during a power outage (a major advantage when compared to conventional cordless systems), neither the display nor the speaker phone on the base unit will work without mains power.Cons - nothing I can really think of (for my kinda basic use).Suggested improvements/Wish list -1. Inclusion of a ringtone that sounds more like a regular phone!2. Rechargeable battery backup for the base unit (so you can at least see the display & use the speakerphone during an outage).3. Direct access to missed calls (while on standby) via the 'Up' & 'Down' arrow buttons.4. Louder (speakerphone) speakers on the cordless units (similar to the ones used on the base units).5. Privacy mode toggle for intercom.6. Personalized handset names instead of just the numbering system.7. Capability to add a '+' sign for phonebook entries (the absence of which sometimes throws off the caller ID when receiving international calls).8. Increase call block limit to 100 numbers (or maybe infinity ;) )8. And last but not the least, a longer cord for the base unit!None of the above are, by any means, deal breakers due to their lack, just added convenience had they been included. To sum it all up, I'd say this is another winner from Panny.
