I bought this to clean up the carburetors from an '05 Kawasaki Concours.I got the 6.5 liter size. Everything was included, the basket and even the drain hose and clamp. Operation is simple and straighforward. I have the digital version. There is a temperature adjustment, and one for time. The manual states that the duty cycle is 30 on, then 20 min to cool down. In itself, it was no big deal for me. I get the thing started and go do something else. Come back in about an hour and check it over. The before and after pictures show how well this thing does. Sure, it does take a while. This is almost 19 years of grime I'm cleaning off. I've been using Simple Green concentrate, pouring in about 8 ounces and filling up with water. I just use hot water from the faucet. The manual states that the vibrating action itself can generate heat within the cleaning solution. My experience backs that up. It's sitting in an unheated basement, filled with hot water. I don't even turn on the heat and it stays hot for the full duration that ii's in there. So, I fill it with Simple Green/ hot water and set the timer for the max time of 30 minutes. Come back an about an hour and run the cycle again. After the second cycle the cleaner is really gunky. I drain and fill with new cleaner and run the two cycles again. Usually this is enough to get the carbs clean. I would imagine less grimy stuff would clean quicker.Other reviewers complain about how loud this thing is. Ok... I don't know what kind of machine they are using but mine is not even close to what I call loud. I does emit a buzzing sound, but it's no where near loud in my opinion. The sound is totally unobtrusive when I'm doing other work in the vicinity. My main concern was how it would affect my two dogs. The machine doesn't seem to cause any kind of pain or discomfort, but they do clear out quickly when they see me loading it up. I understand this does depend on the dog. Some are bothered by it, some aren't.Overall it's an effective machine that requires a little patience when using. I'd recommend it.Edit: OK, I've had this machine for about 6 months. This thing hasn't had a lot of use. Maybe 12 to 15 hours total spread out. Went to clean some parts, set it up and turned it on. Ran fine for the first 30 minute session. After a couple hours I took a look at the parts, improved but needs more time. So I start it again... nothing. It turns on, the interior fan runs, the led's light up, but no buzzing sound. Ran it for a couple hours, it was totally ineffective. My dog was standing right there with me when I turned it on... she had no reaction whatsoever. Think I'm going to have to change my review to "what a piece of crap". As much as I paid for this junk, I'd expect it to last longer than 6 months with not much use. Don't know if my experience is typical, but at this point I cannot recommend.Ok, another edit/update. I opened the machine and noticed that there was a cooling fan that had some kind of adhesive that was applied over the screw that was holding the fan. There was a little string of glue that had gotten attached to the fan and prevented it from turning. The transistors couldn't cool properly and they burnt up. Knowing me, I'm sure I probably didn't send any kind of warranty info, I'm just kind of forgetful that way. I contacted the company and told them the situation and asked if I could get a replacement circuit board. I was even willing to pay for one. So, after a few emails back and forth they ended up sending me a whole new unit!So yeah, I'm back to 5 stars and recommending this cleaner.
