As an amateur chemist, I sometimes have need for separating dissimilar solutions or separating particulates from solutions. There are a few ways to accomplish this. 1, I could use a separatory funnel and sit around and wait. Whee. 2, I could put the substances in question in my lab centrifuge and spin em down.Way faster. And way more fun. This is a really good piece of gear. The build quality is great, it came very well packaged, is pretty quiet, and it definitely spins. It's super simple to use, too, and you can even switch between the display showing RPM or actual force levels. Nice.Overall, I'm very happy with this centrifuge. It's a great addition to the lab! 5 stars.
