My cheap used Squire has loose string winders, so I bought these with adjustable tension. The issue is that the tightening adjustment is on the post (spur gear) not the key (worm gear). The key still comes loose very easily, only now it takes some random amount of time for the post to slowly unwind. Several minutes, several songs, who knows. Same problem as before but now harder to diagnose. I took my old Squire winders and just bent the u-shaped thingy a little tighter and they work much better than either did before. Not that these GB2's are not good tuners, they just didn't solve the problem I was having with loose tuners.
