My hobby is jewelry making and sculpture casting, both of which require some way to clean gunk out of tiny crevices. An ultrasonic cleaner does a marvelous job of this--it shoots zillions of tiny bubbles at the object, blasting into tiny spaces and agitating/dislodging dirt, plaster, or anything else that shouldn't be there.This machine's on the small side, only 1.2 quarts, but that's perfectly adequate for cleaning jewelry or even dentures. It's easy to clean, and has a convenient auto-shutoff function. It's not the cheapest machine I've seen of its type, but is well worth the price.
