Los Angeles based Whitestarr has an excellent marketing story because of its members. The lead singer, Cisco Adler, is the son of legendary music producer Lou Adler of The Mamas & the Papas fame. On lead guitar is Dickie Betts Jr., the son Allman Brothers band member, Dickie Betts. As if this isn’t enough to have the critics salivating, the drummer is Alex "Orbie" Orbison, son of the late great Roy Orbison. Whitestarr’s music has been described as reminiscent of 60’s and 70’s rock n’ roll. They have played over 500 shows to date and were the only band in history to play the Coachella Music Festival without an album in stores. They have currently been playing shows in New York and LA and have packed the world famous Roxy Theatre every time and even sold out a nine week residency at the Viper Room (both venues in LA).
