First, I am not being paid nor was I offered anything for this review. I hope that I can help others make an informed decision based on my previous experience with other brand carbonating machines and this one. I have had two different Sodastream machines but what I love about this one is that I can carbonate anything! I mean ANYTHING! I have carbonated plain water, flat soda, flat prosecco and OJ for a wonderful mimosa, and even Rose. I love it! Super easy to use, very nice footprint, light weight and easy to move around, and quality bottles. I use a local shop that offers discount CO2 exchange and if it ever becomes an issue I will use one of the online ones that does the same. The bottles are very tall but they fit in my refrigerator door so not an issue for me or I could use my adjustable shelves. Storage of the extra bottles are a little more difficult. I have to lay them down in a cabinet instead or store them in my wine cabinet. With my other machines, the first one lasted several years but it was a pain to move around and had a much larger footprint and I did not like the bottles. The second one only lasted a few months and same issue on bottles except for the stainless one. Bigger issue was that you could only carbonate water and then add flavorings. Not like I could re-carbonate my prosecco or soda. My only complaints about the FIZZpod machine is that I would love a stainless bottle cap and bottom (not plastic) for pure aesthetics especially when I am using this at a party on my bar top. I would happily pay a premium for that option. I will update if any issues arise but otherwise I love this machine!
