I was excited to try this waffle maker. However, I realized quickly, that it wasn't really home-use friendly. I believe it is designed for a more straight forward result. I would love to be able to add chocolate chips or bacon to the waffles, but the dimensions of the "trees" hamper that ability. The crevices are really narrow. However, if you are just adding plain batter, you should be fine. I have no real complaints, this particular shape was just not for me.
