Description
2016 release produced entirely by super-producer, Araabmusik. Features the red-hot Tory Lanez on the lead track, 'Flex'. Joe Budden hails from New York City and was put on the map in the early 00's with his breakthrough hit, Pump It Up. That album debuted at #2 on the Rap/Hip-Hop charts and #8 on the Top 200. Since then Joe Budden has proven to be a major force within the world of hip hop, as well as entertainment. Going on to form the super group, Slaughterhouse under Eminem's tutalage, Joe has released a slew of releases over the years. With his often polarizing personality, Joe has also continued to stay in the spotlight and keep his name relevant.

Listen, I've been a supporter of this man's work since he entered the industry. I probably own 85-90% of songs/albums he's laid his vocals on. Rage & The Machine is his BEST piece of work (album wise) hands down. I'm talking MUSICALLY; EXCELLENT beat selection (for those of you who enjoy that head nodding boom bap sound), EXCELLENT radio ready songs, EXCELLENT lyrical content. The overall product shows how much he has evolved since his debut. This album is exactly what's missing in this current era, as there are only a select few who can do it and Joe is without question one of them.I can't stress how important it is to have a producer whose style compliments the artist. Araab is probably the most underrated producer in the game. I'm still blown away at his work w/ Cam and Vado a few years back and his sound meshes perfectly with Joe. I feel the biggest thing that's hurt Joe's past albums was beat selection. He's always had the lyrical content, a couple of bangers here in there, but the production wasn't always his strongest IMO. Not the case this go around. It almost hurt my feelings to see how short the track listing was. I found myself starving for more when I was nearing the end of the album bc I've gotten so used to Joe spitting for 5 mins on almost every track lol. It's a crime that this man isn't mentioned much by mainstream when it comes to BEST rappers of the past ten years. I'd put him up against anyone.
