Our old home phone was dreadful, you could barely hear anyone with the phone turned all the way up. This came with two phones and both work extremely well. Nice and loud and clear. My 94 year old grandfather lives with us and is often in a different room when the phone rings and it's a lot for him to have to get up quickly and run to the phone to catch it on time once he hears it. He's also struggled to hear while on a call with myself, the pharmacist, etc. So not only do we now have a phone in each of the rooms he frequents most during the day, but he's also able to hear on it very well. I was unsure about purchasing this at first because of the mixed reviews but glad we did.
