Description
Creature Machine's origins began with guitarist/vocalist Ralna Ramse (ex-Mollycoddle, ex-Bearded Witches, ex-Another Dimension), after spending several years on the West Coast, relocated to the Northeast with the intention of connecting with area musicians to write and perform with. Her advertisement for musicians caught the eye of Drummer Jay Barnes (Q, ex-Collapse into Reason.) With these parts in place, her ad also caught the eye of Rikk Desgres (ex-HydroElectric), bass player and vocalist for area mainstays, Donut Kings, who turned out to be the last necessary piece of the Creature Machine puzzle. After solidifying the line up the band starting honing their sound and discovered new directions to take their music. The result of their collaboration has created a unique sound with a drive and energy that transcends the mainstream radio dribble. In January 2014, Creature Machine released their debut EP. Six songs paying homage to the vacuum tubed past, but with both feet moving toward the future. The sound could be described at a Joan Jett fronted Black Sabbath, or maybe a Kim Gordon fronted Queens of the Stone Age. I guess it's up to you to decide. Ralna Ramse - Guitar,Vocals Rikk Desgres - Bass, Vocals Jay Barnes - Drums.
