I loved Davenport Cabinet's previous album, and was really excited for this one. When I first started listening to "Our Machine", I wasn't sure what to think. Deterioration Road is a great song, but it didn't grab me the way that much of the previous stuff did. By the time I got to "These Bodies" I was completely hooked. It's definitely a tighter sound and a solid evolution in style from "Nostalgia in Stereo", and I like it more and more with every listen. It starts off nice and folky, and it slowly eases the listener into that unique Davenport Cabinet sound. I highly recommend it if you like this kind of music, but even if you don't, this album also has a little something for everyone.
