I have these on my milling machine, now adding to my lathe. On the mill, accurate and reliable. The display unit that goes along with these is also excellent, at least the full LCD display variant. Do be aware that you will have to do some fiddling to figure out how to mount on your particular lathe/mill. But, once done, results are great. Also, it is possible to cut the length if necessary, lots of info online. I did that for my milling machine. They give you plenty of bolts and brackets, but of course they're generic. I just mill them for what I need, not that difficult. Update - now on the lathe, just great. Scale accuracy is 0.0002, a lot better than either my mill or lathe will hold.
