I’ve been practicing tattooing with another pen style machine for a few months now. As much as I loved my other machine, it was technically for permanent makeup, so it had some limitations with color packing and larger pieces, so that is why I got this machine. It seemed like a step up and so far it has been fantastic to work with!To start, this machine just LOOKS amazing. The light up ring and display give it a high end look, and the brushed steel looks sleek and modern. It’s a good ergonomic shape and so far has been very easy to hold and work with for long periods of time. I don’t notice a lot of vibration or shaking while in use.Performance wise it seems very, very capable from my admittedly limited experience. As I said, it doesn’t push back on you too much while working and I found pulling lines to be smooth and easy with this. Adjusting the voltage and needle hang is extremely simple and straightforward. The display makes the battery life clear at a glance. The battery seems to hold up quite well too, I be used this machine for maybe around 5 hours on and off now? And I still have over a half charge. The button is a neat feature, but isn’t totally necessary imo. The button feels much cheaper than the pen and I feel like it could get janky with heavy use. Pairing it with the pen was easy and they stay connected once paired. The button really only work to turn the pen on and off. It’s fun, but it’s also just as easy to turn the pen on and off with the button on top.The included extras don’t add a ton of value, but honestly I think the machine itself is easily worth the retail price of the roughly $175 it’s listed at at the time of this review. The needles, grip tape, and skate board are all just fun bonuses. This would be a great machine for someone either just starting out or for someone like myself who had a cheap version of this and wants something just a bit more powerful
