Take care how you treat the rather flimsy remote control that comes with this thing since that is the only mechanism to operate it. The instructions on the use of the remote is difficult to dice, and attempting to figure things out while erect on it is difficult, so I sat beside it with vibrating legs to figure things out.The bottom line is that the platform teter totters and the remote varies the rate. Pressing the hi button raises it 1 of 120 and the low decreases it by 1 of 120. The p button raises it about 10 of 120. The default timer is 10 minutes. The left clock button decreases time by 1 minute and the right clock button increases time by 1 minute. No clue what the m button does. The three figure buttons have nothing to do to grade and are just fixed settings.The issue I have is that no provision was made to adjust the amplitude of the oscillation, which I think is unfortunate. If the platform was square, you could place feet at the mid point of the pivot axis and enjoy high frequencies without the jarring power obtained on the provided foot positions.I suggest that users start with a minute or two and slowly increase oscillation rate. No clue how anyone could ride the beast at over a 30 setting without fear of a detached retina, but that is just me.Update.My original criticism of the plate involved need for a remote in order to work. Although this remains valid, I found that replacement remotes are available for low dollars (about the same as a set of AA batteries used in the remote). I purchased two and that issue is resolved.I have been using the plate after exercise and I enjoy it. Right now I am at five minutes at 50%. I gave up taking off my training shoes and it does not seem to make a difference.
