I ordered this Repower Elliptical Leg Exerciser to use under my desk while I am working, so that I can keep some circulation going in my legs and because it helps my ADHD brain focus if I keep my legs moving with some mindless exercise. I want to note that this machine does not offer the option of adding any resistance to the pedaler. You can only adjust the speed, so this isn't going to be a huge workout, it is more to keep your blood moving and get a little bit of exercise in while you are doing something else like working or watching TV.The machine is quiet and I am able to use it while I'm on conference calls without anyone noticing. It is compact enough to easily fit under my desk and I can use it as a foot rest when I don't feel like pedaling. There are 12 speeds that are adjustable using the remote (the remote does make a beeping sound when you switch speeds, so be aware of that if you are on calls). You can switch the direction you are pedaling, so you can go forward or backwards. There are also 6 preset modes that are programmed to go at different speeds/directions in a set workout. I haven't really been using those, as I like to be able to control the speed myself. Since the machine is electric, the motion of the pedals is smooth and steady and you don't really need to pay attention to what you are doing while you are using it.The LED display is easy to read while you are using the machine and the machine is light enough to be carried around by the average adult. It might be a little heavy for someone who is elderly to regularly move around, but as a small, not in great shape woman I haven't had any issues. The machine came fully sealed and required zero assembly other than putting batteries in the remote (batteries were included). For me this is the perfect solution to get a little exercise in and keep my brain focused while I am working.
