I got this as a Christmas present for my husband, took a quick peek at it to make sure it works before wrapping and this boxing machine is so fun. The gloves it comes with are nice quality too. I think he’ll like it a lot. I especially love that you can pair your device with it to play whatever songs or sounds you’d like. The green and red LED lights make it seem like a fun game. He’s done things like virtual reality as a workout before so this is right up his alley. The volume is completely adjustable, it can be turned down all the way. It does get pretty loud on the loudest volume setting. You can turn it on via the switch or the power button on the top. When paired with a device the plus and minus volume buttons can skip between tracks. Holding the plus or minus down while paired adjusts the volume. The only thing I noticed that might be an issue is the front panel buttons are hard to press down.
